Thornbridge Jaipur India Pale Ale

This beer sampled at: The Three John Scotts, Lowgate, Hull

BREWED BY: Thornbridge Brewery, Riverside Brewery, Buxton Road, Bakewell, Derbyshire DE45 1GS
AVAILABILITY: Generally available, all year round. Bottled version also available.
ALCOHOL BY VOLUME: 5.9% (1 pint = 3.4 UK units)
APPEARANCE: A light golden blonde colour, with a bubbly almost marbled head.
FLAVOUR: Fruit abounds: grapefruit and tangerine flavours are foremost against a canvas of very bitter hops. Numerous other fruit flavours tantalise the tongue with the tastes of lemon, orange and lime, and the merest suggestions of more exotic, tropical fruits. An underlying sweetness spars with the tang of the fruit and occasionally wins through, in the aftertaste at least.
APPEAL: REGULAR. Probably the most refreshing pale ale I've ever tried. This is how all 'blonde' beers should be.
