Sadler's RedHouse Mild

This beer sampled at: The Admiral of the Humber, Anlaby Road, Hull

BREWED BY: Sadlers Ales Brewery, 7 Stourbridge Road, Lye, Stourbridge, West Midlands DY9 7DG
www.sadlerssales.co.uk
AVAILABILITY: Generally available, year round.
ALCOHOL BY VOLUME: 4.0% (1 pint = 2.3 UK units)
APPEARANCE: Almost black, but with rich ruby highlights; a creamy but somewhat sparse coffee coloured head.
FLAVOUR: Smooth and 'sweetish' with a slight background flavour of chocolate. A roasted malt bitterness is present that doesn't interfere with the beer's overall smoothness. There's also a sharp bitterness that comes through at times that makes this reminiscent of a dry Irish stout.
APPEAL: FREQUENT. A nice steady dark mild with a welcome bite.
